How beautiful and creamy! One Pot Rice with Chicken: The Classic with a Twist
A chicken rice cooker always works. Sometimes there is a method that makes dishes even easier to prepare and even richer in taste. You know chicken rice, but you’ve never eaten it like this.
Ingredients for 4 servings:
4 chicken thighs
4 celery sticks
1 vegetable onion
1 liter of water
4 cloves of garlic
2 bay leaves
60 grams of butter
1 ring or 300 g of smoked sausage, e.g. B. Krakower
200 g long grain rice
pepper and salt
And this is how it is done:
Place the chicken thighs in a deep pot. Remove the celery greens and set aside. Finely chop the celery, carrots and onion and add to the chicken. Fill with water until everything is covered.
Add whole cloves of garlic, bay leaf and some pepper and salt and cook for about 60 minutes.
When the time is up, fish the chicken thighs out of the pot and set aside. Allow to cool briefly. Strain the soup through a sieve into a bowl. Cut the onions into small cubes.
Melt the butter in a pot and sauté the onions with the rice for a while. Cut the salami into 1 cm thick slices, add and let it get a little color. Pour in the stock and simmer over low heat for about 15-20 minutes until the rice is cooked. Add a little water if necessary.
Finally, stir in the chicken and celery and serve immediately.
Chicken and rice is a classic. This recipe slightly changes your favorite dish and cooks rice in homemade chicken stock. The result is our Chicken One Pot Rice, also known as Chicken Bog. A great recipe for the whole family that is sure to please everyone.
