Salad can get pretty monotonous over time. That’s now over, because the recipe is taking social media by storm at the moment. It is a salad that consists exclusively of green ingredients.
The recipe was developed by influencer and food blogger Melissa. The original video has been clicked over 20.5 million times.
The salad not only tastes delicious, but is also really healthy. Not for nothing was this salad called “Green Goddess”.

Ingredients for Green Goddess Salad
For the popular salad (about 4 servings) you need the following ingredients:
- 1 small head of white cabbage
- 1 large cucumber
- 3 stalks of chickpeas
- 1 bunch of onions
For the dress you will need:
- a handful of basil leaves
- about 100 g of spinach
- 2 cloves of garlic
- 1 onion
- juice of 2 lemons
- 50 ml of olive oil
- 60 g of nuts (or nuts of your choice)
- 30 g yeast flakes
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 2 tablespoons of rice vinegar
This is how the salad is prepared
It only takes a few steps to prepare. First, wash and chop all the ingredients for the salad as small as possible. Then place the vegetables in a large bowl.
For the dressing, put all the ingredients in a blender and turn on until you get a creamy and homogeneous consistency. Then season with salt and rice vinegar.
Now all you have to do is pour the dressing over the salad, mix well – the Green Goddess is ready.
Melissa eats the salad as salsa along with tortilla chips. But it is also ideal as a side dish for grilling or with bread.
The salad will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to a week.
